Laughed so hard I cried!!!!

This weekend I had the pleasure of spending time with my BFF for a girl's day out and my hubby for a little us time!!

Bridesmaids was the perfect movie for our girl's day out!!! I walked away with tears in my eyes! Megan was my favorite character!

I loved the monkey!!!

If you haven't seen them and you need a good laugh go immediately!!! Sometimes you just need a good laugh even if it is stupid humor!!!

Praying.....for Haiti

(photos taken from cnn.com)

Please people pray for our bothers and sisters in Haiti...this is just horrible and devastating to an island that already suffers so much... this insert was taken from the Livesay (Haiti) Web Blog, a web blog of a family that has devoted their life to building life and spread ingGod's love in Haiti. I hung off all their words...

The Morning After - Earthquake Haiti 2010

The sun is about to come up. The aftershocks continue. Some more noticeable than others. There is no way to even begin to share the things we’ve heard and seen since 5pm yesterday. To do so would take hours that we don’t have to give right now. Some of them feel wrong to tell. Like only God should know these personal horrible tragedies.

The few things we can confirm – yes the four story Caribbean Market building is completely demolished. Yes it was open. Yes the National Palace collapsed. Yes Gov’t buildings nearby the Palace collapsed. Yes St Josephs Boys home is completely collapsed. Yes countless countless - countless other houses, churches, hospitals, schools, and businesses have collapsed. There are buildings that suffered almost no damage. Right next door will be a pile of rubble.

Thousands of people are currently trapped. To guess at a number would be like guessing at raindrops in the ocean. Precious lives hang in the balance. When pulled from the rubble there is no place to take them for care Haiti has an almost non existent medical care system for her people. To read more go here.

Count your blessings today and always and continue to have hope even admist your suffering.

Thank You God,
Ronita

Financial Peace……do you have it?!

Ok…so there is all this talk about a recession. Everyday in the news I hear about people loosing their jobs, having trouble keeping their homes, and defaulting on debt payments. A major concern I have in the midst of the “recession” is maintaining solid credit. How do you measure up? I think it is really important for people not only to be physically, spiritually, and mentally healthy but also financially!!

In these hard economic times and even when the economy is healthy it is very important to know your credit score and what things are showing up on your credit report. Knowing what is on your credit report also allows you to detect any identity thief or unnecessary accounts you have open and may have forgotten about! You can dispute discrepancies and cancel out accounts.

When you go to buy a house, open up a credit card, or to buy a car the first thing they do is pull your credit!
I came across the following secure site www.annualcreditreport.com which allows you to download one free credit report a year. It only takes a couple minutes and it’s free!

Below are some steps you can take to help ease the burden of the recession and put some extra money in your purse:
• Negotiate lower interest rates on your credit cards and other accounts
• Transfer all funds to a lower interest fixed card and cancel out the outrageous ones
• Sell unwanted/unneeded items on sites like www.craigslist.org
• Don’t be too proud to shop the sale rack at your favorite stores and use coupons!
• Budget: if you don’t already make a budget and stick to it. Any extra money stash in your rainy day fund, you never know when you will need it!

Make sure you are in the best place for you and your family! Be smart, be empowered!
