{LUSH Cosmetics' Emotional Brilliance Color Line}

Yesterday, on my lunch break I took a fun trip to my local LUSH. I have been hearing a ton about the new Emotional Brilliance Color line and being a LUSH-lover I had to check it out!
***
When I arrived I was greeted by a lovely associate who began to tell me about the line and how it's based off emotions.
The first step to choosing your color  is to do a guided color reading...
You relax, close your eyes, clear your mind, and when you open, select 3 colors that you are drawn to...
The colors you choose and the order you choose them have significance.

Here is my experience.

I selected ...
1. Fantasy (gold eyeliner)
2. Feeling Secure  (bluish eyeliner)
3. Ambition (reddish orange lipstick)

According to LUSH co-founder and inventor of Emotional Brilliance Rowena Bird, the order in which you choose the colours reveals your current state of mind.
1. Your first colour choice symbolises your strength or weakness (Fantasy)
2. Your second resonates with your primary subconscious need (Feeling Secure)
3. Your third choice represents your talent, the thing that will help you to achieve that subconscious need (Ambition)
After the reading I played around with all the colors and was very impressed with how pigmented and smooth they were. LUSH has done a great job with these not to mention all the great ingredients they contain. I'm not sold on the color reading part but it's great marketing and adds a little allure to the product.

The only draw back which is a big one in my book is the PRICE...at $22.95 a bottle they are very expensive BUT would be a treat to own.

Also included in the line is a translucent powder, brightening cream and bronzing cream.

Food Truck Fantastic: New Orleans To Go

I got the shrimp glazed po'boy and it was fully dressed.

Stuffed and Satisfied.
My fascination with food trucks began last Spring. I came across Taco Azul at a local festival and fell in love not only with the truck but with the idea and obtaining superbly delicious cuisine on the go. From there I tracked down all the food trucks in Cincy and made a list of the ones I had to try.

Today I tried.......New Orleans To Go.

When I tell you this is New Orleans...this truck brings it. I'm sad I missed their crawfish boil last week but now I know when I want a taste of New Orleans, it's only a food truck away.

Happy Tuesday!

I'm loving farm life

I have a new love…well infatuation might be the best way to describe it. I am soulfully in love with farms and farm life. I don’t know if it’s the change in season or what but I love the beauty of what a farm represents and now they are more gorgeous than ever. I think spending a few hours roaming around a bustling farm brings me such inner peace. It is one of the many ways to be at one with nature and to honestly be at one with me!

Yesterday, I just so happened to remember that I work less than 10 minutes away from a farm. I decided to take my lunch break to travel to this magnificent little farm and let me tell you it was so refreshing!!

I picked up some freshly laid eggs, lavender, tomatoes, and white sweet potatoes. All their produce and meat is certified organic!

Here are a few snaps from my trip!

The produce stand

Pumpkins picked from the patch

A chicken roaming the grounds

They sell all sorts of delicious produce and supporting a growing CSA. There is a 2 year waiting list!!!

The pig/hog was taking a nap...

The baby piglets...they were so cute all napping in a pile in the sun!!!

This is going to be my little lunchtime get away while the weather is still nice. I look forward to spending many lunches on the farm!
